Additional recognition can be given to candidates who have strong experience in other Microsoft products (e.g. SMS, ISA) Additionally having had good design experience for an Application Platform like WebSphere or Sebel in a large corporate is a real asset. One standout interpersonal skill sought after in a designer is someone that, even though they may not be the subject matter expert, will make designs happen. They consult well, source info from where ever and have a nature tendency to bring the design together whilst keeping everyone feeling happy and involved Designers are expected to have a much deeper knowledge and experience than the builders in the above mentioned technologies. o Ensure maximum customer satisfaction and customer service o Ensure end result of all solution delivery meets customer targets (SLA\'s) and requirements (Business deliverables). o Assist other areas (internal and external to GSDS) with consultation. Point of escalation for problems with designs in production. o Act consistently in accordance with company’s values, challenges practices inconsistent with these values and uses these values as a basis for decision-making. Manage Projects: o Work to project time scales and budgets o Establish / maintain effective working relationships with customers and Project Managers. o Establish clear expectations on project deliverables, including regular feedback on progress o Excellent verbal communication and written communication skills o Strong negotiation and influencing skills o Ability to work autonomously and as a team member o Ability to manage external service providers and contractors o Excellent knowledge in supporting and providing service to end users o Sound problem solving and analytical skills |
